The model was constructed on a scale of 1: 4 so that retractable landing gear and airbrakes could also be installed. Our four-stroke engines are primarily intended as engines - single-cylinder Saito FA-56, 65, 72, 80 and 91 or boxer engines FA 90 TS and FA 100 T. For all single-cylinders, our vibration-damping engine mount Order No. 7153/11 is used. Installation of an electric drive is also possible - e.g. our actro 24-5 with a CAM Prop 14 x 8 ″ or 14 x 9 ″ and 16 cells. From an aviation point of view, our RF - 4D is a delicacy. The wing has both aerodynamic and geometric twist, which, in conjunction with a very low wing loading, ensures excellent, balanced flight behavior. It deserves to be flown “Scale”, for the eyes and the heart! Radiant elegance, especially at lower altitudes, flight style - leisurely to quite brisk. A moderate aerobatics “classic” is possible. Loopings flown with feeling, effective turns, rolls or the like are no problem. Since most of the time you fly with the engine throttled, the fuel consumption is minimal. Long approaches can be divided precisely with the help of the airbrakes. The wing is in two parts, the 18mm connector forms a duraluminium tube of the highest strength, the horizontal stabilizer is firmly glued to the fuselage (via carbon tubes). Access to the RC equipment is ensured by a large recess on the bottom of the fuselage. The wing lock can also be reached here. The GRP fuselage is of the high quality that aero-naut is accustomed to, with molded root ribs for the wings and CPR, the fin is already molded, all necessary implementations as well. The horizontally divided, two-part GRP engine hood already has guides for centering both parts. The cockpit equipment is based on the original, these parts are made of ABS plastic. The assembly instructions give further tips on how to design the interior (e.g. upholstery). The retractable undercarriage, sprung, with hollow rubber tires diameter 95mm was specially developed for this model. The sheet metal parts made of duraluminium or steel are precisely manufactured using a computer-controlled water jet, various points are brazed and powder-coated. It retracts into an ABS fender built into the fuselage. Pneumatic EZFW control with its compressed air cylinder of 18mm diameter (bore) is designed as single-acting. The control valve is also designed to be single-acting; it is actuated by pressing a cam (cam) mounted on the (mini) servo, for example, and a spiral spring is used to extend it. Only the hand pump with manometer (e.g. Robart) has to be bought.
